Why the Care Sector

Across the globe we are experiencing a significant growth in our elderly population with people living longer and needing various levels of care and support for longer. In the UK there are currently 120,000 vacancies in the care sector, with the Health & Social Care sector being one of the most stable employment sectors with a “job for life” for those with qualifications and passion for others. This is mirrored in many other countries where the demand for skilled carers is high, especially for those with a globally recognised UK Care qualification.

Why a UK Health & Social Care qualification

UK qualifications are regarded as the global standard. Many countries recognise a UK vocational qualification, such a Health & Social Care as being equal to or superior to domestic qualifications. In the UK the Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care is seen by CQC, NHS, Skills for Care and employers as the benchmark for skills in the care industry.

Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care

The Level 3 diploma in H&SC has been the benchmark for skills in the sector for many years. Until recently however, the full UK qualification has only been available to UK residents. Recently Beacon Education has approached Industry Qualification (IQ), one of the leading awarding bodies for H&SC qualifications, to produce a UK qualification that can be delivered internationally. This is the first time that a foreign student, studying and living abroad, can gain a full UK H&SC qualification – supported, marked and assessed by UK-based tutors and leading to a world-renowned UK Diploma.

Our current programme has been designed to allow flexibility in delivery to suit the different needs of our global clients. Our “Core Programme” is a blend of UK-based tutor telephone, email, online and skype support, comprehensive workbooks, online materials, video clips and teaching webinars all managed through our online Student Portal. Our “Enhanced Programme” can be tailored to meet local needs, and includes the full Core Programme as well as the options for:
• Initial face to face (in country) induction and introduction to the programme
• Face to face support on using the Core Programme and Student Portal systems
• Mid-point classroom training and review sessions
• End point classroom review and final assessment
